Electronic Audiobooks Now
Available from NetLibrary
By Rosario Garza
NetLibrary, known for its electronic books, has now expanded its offerings to include electronic
audiobooks. Partnering with Recorded Books, Inc., the NetLibrary eAudiobook catalog makes available not
only the latest best-sellers, but also a language-learning series and a Bible. Libraries can choose from three
NetLibrary electronic audiobook collections:
- eAudiobooks Core Collection — a growing collection of more than 500 of the latest audiobook best-
sellers, book club favorites, award-winning authors and more. As new titles are added to the Core
Collection, they automatically become a part of your subscription.
- Pimsleur Language Series Collection — easy-to-understand lessons covering 39 languages for
beginners, intermediate-level speakers and ESL students.
- Contemporary English Version (CEV) Holy Bible — not a paraphrase, the unabridged CEV is an
accurate and faithful translation of the original Greek and Hebrew manuscripts. The CEV uses
gender-sensitive language and translates biblical terms into understandable, contemporary
terminology.
Access to NetLibrary's electronic audiobooks is by subscription. Pricing is based on library size and
anticipated circulation. You pay for a block of checkouts that will best suit your needs. Should you need,
you can add more checkouts as your subscription year is coming to a close.
Electronic audiobooks can be downloaded to a variety of devices. Users can download to their computers or
to a handheld audio device. A complete list of compatible devices is available at the NetLibrary Web site:
