Morningstar Launches Client Site
to Help Librarians Better Help Patrons
By Ellen Fox
To help librarians better inform patrons about the helpful tools and features in Morningstar.com Library
Edition, Morningstar has developed a new Web site exclusively for Morningstar.com Library Edition
clients. The site includes usage reports, marketing materials, how-to guides and training sessions. Library
Edition is based on Morningstar's Web site for individual investors, Morningstar.com, and offers
proprietary stock and mutual fund analysis, screening tools and portfolio-building features for public,
corporate and academic libraries.
Morningstar.com Library Edition's client site offers multiple features, including reports for librarians to
track the most popular features, Library Notes newsletter archive and customizable press releases to send to
local media. Promotional materials, including posters, table-top tents and how-to guides can be
downloaded.
Through Morningstar Library Edition patrons can find stocks or mutual funds to meet their needs, research
current or prospective holdings and see how their investments fit together by using the portfolio feature.
Optional remote access provides library patrons with 24-hour access.
