Preferential Pricing for BCR Member Libraries Marks New BCR Partnership with Emerald

By Karen Graham
Through a new partnership with Emerald Group Publishing Limited, BCR now offers libraries preferential pricing on Emerald's extensive management, library services and engineering resources. Included are two of Emerald's premium databases, Emerald Management Xtra and Emerald Management Xtra College, both specifically designed for community colleges. Participating libraries also can take advantage of Emeralds's free usage development service. (See "Training and Support for BCR Members" below.)

Emerald Management Xtra is a comprehensive collection of peer-reviewed management articles and resources for researchers, librarians, teachers, students and deans in the management field. This valuable collection provides access to:

  • Up to 150 full-text business and management journals published by Emerald including a full-text archive facility dating back to 1994.
  • More than 190,000 structured review abstracts from 300-plus leading journals by other publishers worldwide.
  • Resources for librarians, faculty, authors, researchers, deans and managers.
  • More than 1,000 case studies, ideal examples of current business and management issues.

Emerald Xtra College has been developed with the requirements of community colleges in mind by combining 30 Emerald full-text applied and vocational journals translating into more than 9,000 articles and independent structured review abstracts from a further 300 management journals. Emerald Management Xtra College also offers a wide range of resources for librarians, teaching faculty, students, researchers and authors, and collections that include case studies, book reviews, interviews, specialist teaching and student resources.
