Action for Libraries

Garza Visiting Alaskan Librarians

Rosario Garza, BCR's assistant director for member services, is set to travel to the Alaska Library Association annual conference in Anchorage on February 24-26. She will be staffing the BCR exhibit booth and is looking forward to the opportunity to get acquainted with librarians attending the conference. Please plan to stop by the BCR booth and learn more about the variety of products and services BCR can offer your library, including group purchases, discounts on reference databases, consortial purchases of e-book and e-audiobooks and OCLC products and services.

Garza would also like the opportunity to introduce you to BCR's new WebLive training and Free Friday Forum (F3) sessions, featuring a live BCR instructor in a virtual classroom on the Web. This newest training option allows staff to attend classes and Web conferences while eliminating the time and expense required for travel to a remote location. Some offerings this spring include "Using Google: Latest Tips and Tricks" and "Local Holdings Maintenance with the Connexion Browser." Join Garza on Saturday, February 25, from 10:00- 10:30 a.m. in the vendor demonstration room for an overview of BCR's new online training environment.
