BCR and Computype Streamline
Ordering Process

Beginning February 1, current purchasers of Computype bar code labels, spine labels, patron cards and DVD/CD Labels from BCR will be
able to reorder supplies using Computype's Web Order Entry and Inquiry System.
The new ordering system allows users to look up both previous and current orders, place new orders, find shipping information and even figure out the starting number for the next bar code label order. Ordering with the Computype Web Order Entry and Inquiry System will not affect your library's billing. BCR will continue to send your invoices, and members will continue to receive BCR's discounted price for all Computype products ordered.
To begin using Computype's Web Order Entry and Inquiry System, members must already purchase Computype bar code labels, spine labels, patron cards and DVD/CD labels through BCR. This system is for vendors only.
BCR members who wish to order a new Computype product or members who have never before ordered any Compu- type product will need to contact BCR's Laura Chittivej (lchittiv@bcr.org) for assistance. After February 1, Computype's online system will be the only option for placing Computype orders. BCR's online order form will no longer be available.
If your library is reordering, you may go to www.computype.com/ and choose Online Ordering from the menu on the left side of the browser window. To continue, click on Computype's Web Order Entry and Inquiry System and then select New Customer Login Profile Creation. Please make sure you choose Affiliation: Is affiliated with another company, from the drop-down list for the Web Customer Type, and enter BCR in the Name of Reseller or Affiliation box. You will receive an e-mail from Computype confirming your user ID and password. You may then log on to the site and process your order.

In other news, Computype has suspended sales of the Digitek bar code label format. BCR member libraries that need to reorder labels will be switched to the photographic bar code label equivalent. As a courtesy to BCR members, photographic label prices are reduced by an additional 5 percent discount until the production problem is corrected for the Digitek labels.
