BCR member states BCR Libraries Rated Among Tops in Nation
A number of BCR member libraries again were among the top 100 in Hennen's American Public Library Ratings for 2005. The honors go to the following libraries in their population categories:

The National Network of Libraries of Medicine, Pacific Northwest Region, presented its Express Outreach Award to the medical library at Kalispell (Montana) Regional Medical Center.

John Pollitz was appointed associate university librarian for public services and innovative technologies at Oregon State University Libraries. He is a former BCR delegate to OCLC Members Council.

In Iowa, Beth Sullivan has assumed the director's position at the Bloomfield Public Library. Larry White is the new director of the Keosauqua Public Library, and Amy Moser has taken the reins of the Mellinger Public Library.

The Southwest Kansas Library System has hired Emily Sitz as its new director, while Denise Galarrago replaces Sitz as director of the Finney County (Kansas) Public Library. Dr. Latane Kresier will become the coordinator of library media services at Geary County USD 475 (Kansas), following the retirement of Sharon Sharpe at the end of this school year.

Robert Morss has been appointed deputy director of the Las Vegas-Clark County (Nevada) Library District.

In Montana, Honore Bray was appointed the new director of the Missoula Public Library and John Finn the new director of the Hearst Free Library.
