Responding to Disaster
Library staff from various states throughout the BCR region get some hands-on practice in preparing and recovering from disaster during the "Emergency Preparedness, Response and Recovery" class held November 1-2 at BCR's Aurora, Colorado, offices. BCR brought in Rebecca Elder from the Amigos Library Services (a sister library network) to provide the training. If you want similar training in your area, contact BCR's Regan Harper (rharper@bcr.org). She currently is working with Kansas librarians to schedule the emergency preparedness training in that state.
