The College of Southern Nevada (formerly Community College of Southern Nevada) has named Clarissa Erwin as its new director, Department of College Library Services.
The new director for the Butte-Silver Bow Public Library (Montana) is Lee Phillips of Belt, Montana. Also in Montana, Ken Adams has been named Montana Shared Catalog director. His predecessor, Sarah McHugh, moved on to her new position as Statewide Projects librarian.
In Kansas, Donna Lauffer is the new county librarian for the Johnson County Library (JCL). Gwen Alexander was named the new dean of Emporia (Kansas) State University's School of Library and Information Management.
Joan Stoddart, deputy director, Spencer S. Eccles Health Sciences Library (Utah), was appointed interim director, while a search was launched for a new library director.
Dorothy Horan is the new president of the Utah Library Association.
The new library director for Mesa County Libraries, Grand Junction (Colorado) is Eve Tallman, formerly the director of Grand County Library in Moab (Utah). Pam Sandlian Smith accepted the library director position at Rangeview Library District (Colorado). The Colorado State Library named Zeth Lietzau as associate director of the Library Research Service (LRS).
