Administrative Services and Business OfficeBCR Administrative Services and the Business Office also had a busy and productive year. The expansion of services and several hundred new users meant more invoices to process, and both the financial records and voting lists became more complex. Administrative and financial processes were continually examined and simplified to improve efficiency, and the conversion of BCR communications to more sophisticated electronic formats was continued. As part of BCR's reorganization at the end of the year, Administrative Services and the Business Office were combined into a single unit. BCR also acted as the fiscal agent for the Western Council of State Libraries, the Library Research Service and several statewide grant projects. BCR administrative and accounting staff continue to be intensively involved with the ongoing personnel administration and fiscal operations for a number of special projects on behalf of state libraries and regional consortia.
