Export Changes on the OCLC Express (CatExpress) Tab

Libraries that have CatExpress subscriptions and get their records delivered via export and cataloging members who use the Express tab in the Connexion Browser interface to export records, will be affected by the changes to the way the export tab functions. Effective August 13, the export function in CatExpress will work the same way as it does under the Cataloging tab in the Connexion browser, where export files are stored for 30 days. This should be a huge help to folks who export records via CatExpress/Express, since export files now created in that interface must be downloaded immediately. After this change, CatExpress subscribers will have access to Export file name and Export file type on the General/Admin/Preferences page/Export options page. There will be no change to the Export options available to full cataloging members who use the Cataloging tab in Connexion browser. All users who have created export files via the CatExpress/Express tab prior to August 13, MUST download these files before that date. There will be no access to these export files after the change on August 12. OCLC apologizes for any inconvenience to its members.
