May/June Reasons for No Reports OCLC is continuing to pursue a solution for the Borrower and Lender "Reasons for No" records that appear in the reports with “Unspecified” as the listed reason and hopes to have the May and June 2006 reports corrected in August. They appreciate your patience with what has turned out to be a complex correction and will continue to update you as the status changes. Auto-Deflection in Reasons for No Reports In researching the previous problem, OCLC also uncovered an additional problem related to the "Reasons for No" reports. Following the implementation of deflection in the Policies Directory, new indicators for defected requests were not added to the borrower and lender "Reasons for No" reports as anticipated. These reports will be the primary resource for users to learn about how deflection has affected borrowing and lending. A fix for the auto-deflection "Reasons for No" reports will be installed on Sunday, August 6. Consequently, deflection statistics will not appear in the “Reasons for No” prior to August 6.
