Amazon Is New OCLC PromptCat Vendor
Amazon is now an OCLC PromptCat participating vendor. If you are a BCR/OCLC member with a cataloging subscription, you may get OCLC MARC records delivered to you at no additional charge for titles you order from Amazon. To check out the Amazon library specific data, please go to Amazon's The Librarians' Store at www.amazon.com/libraries/. To sign up for library processing with Amazon and PromptCat with OCLC, select Amazon’s Library Processing link and scroll down to the bottom of that page. Libraries currently using PromptCat with other vendors also need to sign up through the Amazon Web site, not through the OCLC Web site.
You may read the OCLC news release about Amazon's new PromptCat participation at www.oclc.org/news/releases/200637.htm. PromptCat is OCLC's automated copy cataloging service. Learn more about it at http://www.oclc.org/promptcat/.
