New Wilson 3-Pack Available for K-12 Libraries
H.W. Wilson has released a new Standard Catalog 3-Pack for school libraries. Similar to the Standard Catalog 5-pack — the complete set of Wilson's Standard Catalog products in a cost-effective package — the new Standard Catalog 3-Pack consists of the three standard catalogs used most frequently by schools for collection development activities. It also is available at a cost-effective package price.
The Standard Catalogs 3 Pack includes:
- Children's Catalog — Booklist: "Easy to use, economical and makes so much possible for anyone working with children's literature and collection development."
- Middle and Jr. High School Catalog — American Reference Books Annual: "For school librarians, this catalog should be considered a mandatory purchase. Media specialists will find it an invaluable tool for acquisitions, reading guidance, confirmation of information and collection development."
- Sr. High School Catalog — Teacher Librarian: "Highly recommended."
Wilson's Standard Catalogs on WilsonWeb are an invaluable help with collection development and maintenance, readers' advisory, curriculum support, professional development and more. Entries link to review excerpts from Wilson's Book Review Digest Plus database, including many full-text reviews. Users can:
- Search the current database plus an archive of the prior edition.
- Enjoy continuous updates without waiting for annual supplements.
- Retrieve records in MARC format.
- Search descriptive and critical annotations for specific words to find the right books for patrons.
- Search simultaneously with other Wilson Standard Catalogs or other Wilson databases, including Readers' Guide to Periodical Literature.
- Check holdings via a link to the library's OPAC.
