OCLC recently completed installation of a number of enhancements to WorldCat Resource Sharing. They include:

Search Box on all Request Manager Screens — Users now have an improvement to their workflow with the addition of the Search Box to additional places in the Request Manger. The search box now also appears at the top of a complete category of requests and when an action has been completed.

Additional LHR data on lender printouts — Lenders that have loaded their local holding information also will experience improved workflow. They now can see complete LHR data on screen and their full-request printouts in WorldCat Resource Sharing. These fields will only appear in WorldCat Resource Sharing for now. OCLC is working to add this improvement to ILLiad.

Electronic Delivery address on work forms — Users of WorldCat Resource Sharing and ILLiad now have an appropriate field in which they can note their electronic delivery addresses for Odyssey, Ariel FTP and Ariel e-mail. On staff work forms users have to manually type their electronic delivery address.

In the coming two-to-four months, these fields will be added to Constant Data, allowing users to further automate the process of using electronic delivery fields.

Several ILLiad beta sites had this functionality available in mid-October, and all users of ILLiad 7.2 will have these additional fields when it’s fully released in December.
