Bailey-Hainer Keynote Speaker at ALA RUSA STARS Preconference
Brenda Bailey-Hainer, BCR's executive director, will be one of the featured speakers at the ALA RUSA STARS preconference on June 22. Introducing attendees to the day's topic, "ILL 101: Interlibrary Loan for New Practitioners," Bailey-Hainer will talk about the trends, practices and policies librarians new to resource sharing and interlibrary loan should know. For the day's complete schedule, visit the ALA RUSA STARS Web site.
A second pre-conference, "Yin & Yang: Bringing Balance to Resource Sharing," is scheduled for the same day, but is designed for participants who would benefit from more advanced information and discussion on current resource sharing issues and practices. Tom Delany, RapidILL Team, Colorado State University, will be giving the keynote for this session. Additional information is also available on the ALA RUSA STARS Web page.
Sponsored by OCLC, each preconference session addresses specific issues that are relevant to beginning or advanced resource sharing and ILL staff. Register for either of these sessions online on the ALA Web site.
Reference and Users Services Association (RUSA), a division of the American Library Association (ALA), is an organization of reference and information professionals who make the connections between people and the information sources, services and collection materials they need.
