Wilson Debuts Literature & Information Science Retrospective
H.W. Wilson has just released Library Literature & Information Science Retrospective: 1905-1983, a unique new reference for librarians, educators and library science students. Combining the versatility of WilsonWeb searching with almost 80 years of in-depth indexing from the classic Wilson reference Library Literature, users now have access to one of the most complete indexes of library and information science articles available today.
Library Literature & Information Science Retrospective: 1905-1983, covers more than 1,200 key periodicals with citations to 500,000-plus articles. The database catalogs all the innovations, controversies and people key to the making of modern librarianship. The database further includes full text (HTML plus PDF page images) from 69 years of Wilson Library Bulletin (the classic trade magazine for librarians, founded 1914), indexing from Library Work (1905-1911) and adds citations to book reviews, books, book chapters and library school theses.
The database includes extensive international coverage, encompassing library science publishing in Europe, Russia, China, India, Australia and Latin America. Translated titles plus English-language summaries allow users to search articles published in French, Spanish, Russian, German, Hungarian, Danish, Norwegian, Italian and other languages.
