Bailey-Hainer Reports from Alaska

Brenda Bailey-Hainer, BCR's executive director, recently returned from the Alaska Library Association Conference (AkLA), held in Juneau this year. She enjoyed a great turnout at her presentation, the "BCR Network Update," along with decent weather.

Celebrating the start of Alaska's new ListenAlaska Digital Catalog, OverDrive generously donated two MP3 players — one to be given away at the BCR Network Update on Saturday, February 24, and the other given away during a drawing at the BCR exhibit booth. The lucky person whose name was drawn at the exhibit booth was Maureen Callahan from the Seward Community Library. Joe D'Elia from the A Holmes Johnson Memorial Library in Kodiak won the player given away during Bailey-Hainer's program. Thanks to everyone who attended the BCR Network Update and took the time to stop at BCR's booth.

Visit the BCR Web site to view photos Bailey-Hainer took during the conference.
