March Begins Busy Conference Season
BCR staff members are presenting programs or workshops on a variety of valuable topics during several conferences scheduled this month. In addition to attending these sessions, please plan to stop by the BCR exhibit booth or table to learn more about BCR, chat with BCR staff at the booth and pick up a BCR water bottle!
Conferences scheduled through the end of March include:
- NMLA/MPLA — Jay Ford, Marketing & Support associate, is in Albuquerque, New Mexico, at the joint NMLA/MPLA 2007 conference. Visit Booth #15 to find out how BCR can help your library save money, become more technologically savvy and other information.
- CLiC Spring Workshops 2007 — Gillian Harrison, BCR's manger for Marketing & Support, and Lisa Priebe, Regional Consultant/Assistant Director-Northeast, for CLiC (Colorado Library Consortium), are presenting, "Over the Desk and into the Woods: The World of Database Marketing from Your Patron's Viewpoint." Join them on Wednesday, March 15, at the Greeley Chamber of Commerce or in Grand Junction at the Two Rivers Convention Center on March 22, for advice on how to think like your user when it comes to locating information. A third presentation is scheduled for April 18, in Pueblo.
April starts out with the Kansas Tri-Conference, April 11-13:
- Kansas Tri-Conference — Lisa Holmberg, BCR project coordinator, Innovations & Special Projects, and Jay Ford, BCR Marketing & Support associate, are traveling to Topeka April 11-13, for the annual Kansas Tri-Conference. Holmberg will present, "Understanding How Google Works," on Friday, April 13, from 10:45-11:45 a.m. in the Emerald Room. Ford is helping staff the BCR exhibit booth and is looking forwarding to meeting and talking with Kansan librarians.
