PromptCat and NetLibrary MARC Records — EDX Notification Changes

If your library receives OCLC MARC records via EDX (Electronic Data Exchange, or ftp) from the PromptCat service or the new WorldCat Cataloging Partners service, or if you receive MARC records for your NetLibrary titles, the Subject: line and the From: address of the email notification message is changing.

Beginning May 9, 2007, these messages will come from MARCRECORDS@OCLC.ORG. The subject line of the message will be: OCLC MARC Record File Notification.

If you receive records for both PromptCat and NetLibrary, you will receive separate email notification messages with the From: address and Subject: line as shown above. The record file names are included in the body of the message. Files with records for NetLibrary titles contain the symbol N$T in the file name. If N$T in not part of the file name, the file contains records output by OCLC's PromptCat service.
