WorldCat Resource Sharing Update: Deflection Enhancement
On May 13, OCLC added E-audio Books as an option for deflection by format. This enhancement allows lending libraries to deflect ILL borrowing requests for electronic audio books as indicated by a leader value (I or j) when the material type is url and no 300 $c is present in the record. Deflection policies are created in the Policies Directory (illpolicies.oclc.org/).
The new option is located in the Policies tab of the Unit information record. On the Deflections sub-tab, users will now find E-Audio Book as a Format option.
