Blackwell Book Service New WorldCat Selection Vendor

OCLC has announced that Blackwell Book Service has agreed to become an OCLC WorldCat Selection vendor.

Blackwell aims to help libraries keep the costs of identifying and acquiring books and e-books as low as possible. Its tools, services, customer relationships and partnerships are all built to create efficient workflows for libraries in the belief that the costs of acquiring books, if inefficient, can be greater than the costs of the books themselves. Ultimately, efficient acquisition enables libraries to make available to their patrons a larger part of the universe of scholarly information that could prove useful to them. Blackwell has offices in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Australia and the United States.
