AccessScience Gets New Technology Platform

McGraw-Hill has developed a new technology platform for AccessScience. In mid-August, AccessScience 2.0 is being launched with a new interface, improved search engine and statistics reporting.

AccessScience features more than 8,500 online full-text articles, including articles from the McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science & Technology 10th edition, Research Updates from the McGraw-Hill Yearbooks of Science & Technology and 110,000-plus definitions from the McGraw-Hill Dictionary of Scientific and Technical Terms. Some 13,000 illustrations and graphics and bibliographies containing more than 28,000 literature citations also are included.

As McGraw-Hill migrates to AccessScience 2.0, current users will experience no change in their service or authentication and no action is required on behalf of the library during the migration. However, customers using federated search engines or bar code authentication will need some additional information. McGraw-Hill has prepared an AccessScience 2.0 FAQ to answer all technical and content questions including federated search engines and bar code authentication.
