Further Enhancements to OCLC WorldCat Selection
OCLC has completed installation of four additional enhancements to its WorldCat Selection service, including new list display functions, enhancements to display criteria and a summary view of selector statistics.
- List Display — Selectors now can specify to display either 25 or 1,000 entries on each page while viewing lists of records.
- Record Rejection — Selectors now can automatically reject all records which currently have the library's holdings already set. Items that have already selected or exported by another use also now can automatically be removed.
- Selector Statistics — Under Selector Statistics, acquisitions staff now can view a summary of records in each folder for each selector.
- New Vendors — Selection subscribers now can distribute notification records for newly cataloged items from the Library of Congress.
OCLC's WorldCat Selection allows selectors of new materials at your library to view notification records from multiple materials vendors in one central comprehensive system.
See the OCLC Web site for a complete list of enhancements. For more information on WorldCat Selection, please contact Beth Levrault (blevraul@bcr.org) at BCR.
