OCLC WorldCat Services Administrative Module Enhancements

The Patron ILL Request Form in WorldCat Services Administrative Module now is able to accept a five-character OCLC symbol.

As part of the enhancements installed on August 5, OCLC provided the ability for users to enter a five-character OCLC symbol for the Dept or Branch section of the Patron ILL Request Form. The Patron ILL Request Form, available in the WorldCat Services Administrative Module by selecting Resource Sharing > Patron ILL Settings > Patron ILL Request Form, can be used to customize the FirstSearch ILL Request Form for library patrons.

To customize the form, select the Dept or Branch link in the Patron ILL Request Form, enter a Dept or Branch name and a three-to-five character OCLC symbol in the pop-up screen and then click the Add Item arrow. Upon clicking Done to save the form, a five-character symbol is now accepted. See the following screenshots for an example.
