WilsonWeb Enhancements Based on User Input
Several enhancements to WilsonWeb are now available, including modifications to navigation and custom e-mail messages as well as improvements to the Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus and Art Museum Image Gallery databases.
- Custom messages in WilsonWeb Emails Results emailed from the WilsonWeb interface can now include a custom message from your library, complete with Web links. Use it to promote new reference sources, events, procedures or other important information to your patrons.
- Easier Navigation Now — clicking on a subject link in a WilsonWeb citation launches a search for other articles indexed under that subject, rather than a search of the subject thesaurus.
Enhancements to Current Issues: Reference Shelf Plus include:
- New Topic Finder box allows a free search of the entire database for any subject of interest. Find information on the myriad of people and subjects related to the main topics covered by the database.
- New Previous/Next buttons on search screens allow easy movement between pages of topics.
- New plain-text topics list on the right of the Advanced Search screen invites easy scanning for topics of interest.
- Easier navigation between topics and subtopics, with new "+" prompts for opening individual subtopics and Open All Subtopics and Return to Main Topic Page links.
- More articles with full text, More article citations and Search the Web links now appear with each subtopic's main article list. Click to explore coverage of the subtopic from any of more than 3,600 magazines and journals.
- Print, email or save multiple articles at a click. Use checkboxes to select groups of articles to handle on the Print Email Save page.
- Attractive new graphics.
Enhancements to Art Museum Image Gallery include:
- Clicking a thumbnail image in your results list now directly links to the full size image, the most popular viewing choice.
- Open in Popup links allow users to view images in pop-up windows. Now, multiple images can be open simultaneously for easy viewing and comparison.
