New Enhancements and Fixes for WorldCat Resource Sharing
On Sunday, December 9, OCLC will install enhancements and fixes to WorldCat Resource Sharing, including the ability to print book straps and ILL stickers. Following a successful install, OCLC will post an announcement on Monday, December 10.
- Book Straps and Stickers
Lenders now have the ability to print book straps and/or stickers for their outgoing materials. Next to the check box for Print Shipping Labels in Pending records, you will now see a Print Book Straps check box. After navigating to the Printing screen, the ability to select either book straps or stickers is presented. Avery Removable Multi-Purpose Labels (product number 6464), should be used for sticker printing. Information printed includes lender and borrower's OCLC symbols and title, author, patron name, due date and borrowing library address of the item. This feature is only available to lenders in the pending category. - Shipping Labels
(1) Libraries are now able to select any of the following on the mail labels options page:- Include Mailed under Section 135.14 Postal Manual LIBRARY MATERIALS notice.
- Include Request ID barcode.
- Include POSTMASTER: This parcel may be opened for postal inspection if necessary notice.
- Include RETURN POSTAGE GUARANTEED notice.
