Designate Your BCR Voting Representative

Did you know your library can have a say in BCR governance? A recent change to the BCR Bylaws made voting members of all libraries in a state with a statewide membership covered by the state library agency. A mailing was recently sent to libraries announcing the change and asking for a designated voting representative.

Whether your library is new to BCR or a longtime voting member, we invite you to participate in BCR's upcoming election. BCR's annual Board of Trustees election begins April 1. An email invitation to vote will be sent out to all designated voting representatives.

If you have not already designated your voting representative, or wonder whether you are a BCR member, please contact BCR's communication coordinator, Brandie Baumann (bbaumann@bcr.org); 303.751.6277 ext 110; 800.397.1552. Completion of a simple online form is all that is required to designate your voting representative.

Information about the BCR Board of Trustees election can be found on the BCR BOT election webpages. The deadline for submitting your Board of Trustees ballot is May 2.
