Teen Health & Wellness Answers Questions for Young Adults

A just-released Pew study reported that 21 percent of American young adults said they would turn to their public library for answers about health, careers and public services. In the Gen Y (18-30) population, that number jumped to 40 percent. Offered by BCR, Teen Health & Wellness: Real Life, Real Answers, Rosen Publishing's award-winning database, can provide patrons and students with the information they need and want, at a cost your library can afford.

Teen Health & Wellness provides well-researched, current and on-target information on health and wellness topics as diverse as acne and Alzheimer's, military recruitment and volunteerism and adoption and cyberbullying. With more than 40 national hotlines available across fourteen categories, including AIDS/HIV and mental health, Teen Health & Wellness provides resources for users who may just be curious or may be dealing with critical and urgent informational needs.

All content in Teen Health & Wellness is reviewed by a team of leading professionals across fields such as medicine, mental health, nutrition, substance abuse prevent, guidance and career counseling. To ensure its accuracy and relevance, content is reviewed and updated on an ongoing basis, with each entry giving the date it was last updated.

Rosen Publishing's Teen Health & Wellness database was selected as one of Library Journal's Best Reference Sources of 2007, and has been recognized by several programs. Recent awards include an EDDIE (Annual Education Software Review) from ComputEd Learning Center, which identifies programs that augment the classroom curriculum and improve teacher productivity; an Association of Educational Publishers (AEP) Education Websites for Specialized Instruction winner, for high quality learning resources that exhibit superior educational content and value; and a BESSIE (Best Education Software), for innovative and content-rich programs and websites which provide parents and teachers with the technology to foster educational excellence.
