Ovid Launches New Products, Resource Center

Ovid has gone live with two major product releases: Ovid Universal Search and Nursing@Ovid, and the new OvidSP Resource Center, delivering new content, new functionality and new ways to search.

Ovid Universal Search is a new premium cross-platform add-on feature to OvidSP that enables users to search all of an institution’s subscribed content using OvidSP even if that content resides on another platform. Users can view all results within the OvidSP interface and refine, manage and organize results retrieved through Ovid Universal Search.

Nursing@Ovid is a portal-based solution for nursing and allied health practitioners, researchers, educators and students who are looking for a single entry point to the specialized information they need to do their work. Built on the OvidSP architecture, Nursing@Ovid includes a limited version of Ovid Universal Search as a standard feature within the product.

The OvidSP Resource Center provides all the resources needed to help implement these new products in your library, including:

  • Training materials
  • Product information (Frequently Asked Questions, Quick Reference Guides, etc.)
  • Image bank and screenshots
  • Archived email communication

In addition, four journals have been added to Journals@Ovid. These include:

  • Circulation: Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes (LWW)
  • Acta Haematologica (S. Karger)
  • Clinical Rehabilitation (Sage Publications)
  • Topics in Companion Animal Medicine (Elsevier)
