Access American History in Video Free For Limited Time
Since its launch in April, Alexander Street Press' American History in Video has grown to include more than 1,500 titles and 500 hours. For a limited time, access to the entire collection of this highly lauded resource is free on the web through November 15.
American History in Video is specifically designed for use by scholars and students with features to help users find, view, share and analyze the videos in the collection. The collection is expected to grow to include more than 5,000 complete titles and 2,000 hours of rare newsreels and important documentaries from leading producers such as PBS, The History Channel, Bullfrog Films and California Newsreel.
Particularly useful for students, they can easily make custom video clips and name and annotate them to create personal playlists; include them in course folders to share and post online; cite them in papers; or embed them in a website. It also provides public libraries a resource that gives history buffs of every age remote access to premium content.
