Visit BCR at Iowa Library Association Conference
Plan to visit BCR staff at the Iowa Library Association conference, October 21-23, in Des Moines. Linda Gonzalez, BCR’s cataloging and metadata consultant, will be presenting two conference sessions, and Jay Ford, BCR’s library services consultant, will be available at the BCR exhibit booth (#8).
On Friday morning, October 23, Linda plans to demystify Resource Description and Access (RDA) with her program, Can You See the Future with RDA? She will review the basics of this anticipated next edition of the cataloging rules and the changes it might bring to current cataloging practices and online catalogs.
Linda also will present Learn, Grow, Achieve: A BCR Update later on Friday morning. Join her as she explains the new ways as well as the tried and true methods BCR is working on to help our member libraries in these challenging times.
As always, both Jay and Linda will be in the BCR booth and would enjoy the opportunity to answer questions and help identify those products and services designed to help our members have the best and most appropriate tools at their fingertips.
