Your Path to Professional Development — OCLC’s New Training Portal

OCLC and its training partners, including BCR, work together to ensure that the training requirements you have throughout the year can be easily fulfilled. The new OCLC Training Portal aggregates all training available throughout the nation on all OCLC services relevant to today’s information specialists.

Librarians and other professionals can find and register for training available from OCLC-certified training partners through the Training Portal. As a certified training partner, BCR offers a wide array of training from cataloging and resource sharing to emerging technologies and digital and preservation topics.

BCR’s training opportunities range from in-person courses—scheduled, on-request or on-location and online training via WebLive workshops, self-paced online classes and the popular Free Friday Forums and Product and Services Showcase sessions. A full list of all of BCR’s current offerings can be found at www.bcr.org/training/index.html.

Newly available are BCR’s online training coupons. Libraries can now prepay for a booklet of twenty (20) training coupons and receive a significant discount for each unit of online training. See the BCR website for more details.
