Functional Requirements of Authority Data: FRAD
Description
You’ve probably heard quite a bit about FRBR (Functional Requirements of Bibliographic Records) but have you heard about FRAD, the Functional Requirements of Authority Data? FRAD extends some FRBR concepts to another type of key cataloging data—the authority record.
Join us for an overview of FRAD and discussion of some of its basic concepts. Perhaps most importantly, we’ll look at how FRAD has influenced the development of Resource Description and Access (RDA), the next edition of the cataloging rules.
